Honor finally presented its very first smartphone since the separation from Huawei a few months ago.
It was in Paris that the presentations were made, and as always the brand displays solid equipment for a reasonable price.
L’Honor 50 thus offers an OLED screen of 6, 57 inches with curved edges at 70 ° with an FHD + definition of 1080 x 1080 pixels, the screen displays 1, 00 billion colors to cover 90% of DCI-P3 spectrum. It takes advantage of a variable refresh rate up to 108 Hz with a touch sampling rate from 300 Hz.
Internally, the terminal is equipped with a Snapdragon SoC 778 G associated with a 5G modem and 6 to 8 GB of RAM depending on the configurations. The brand highlights the GPU Turbo X functionality which accelerates the graphics part if necessary.
The photo part is provided by 4 sensors. A main sensor is housed in a large circle which constitutes the upper counterpart of the “Dual Ring”, a nod to film cameras. A configuration that we also find strangely on the Nova 9 presented last week by Huawei.
The main sensor of Honor 50 displays 108 MP, it is combined with 8 MP wide-angle sensor, 2 MP macro lens as well as a 2 MP depth of field sensor. On the front, there is a sensor 27 MP wide angle 90 °.
The on-board battery claims 4300 mAh capacity and the smartphone enjoys fast charging 57 W which promises 70% recharge in 20 minutes. Everything is delivered under Magic UI 4.2 on the basis of Android 07 and therefore integrates Google’s mobile services.
To better mark people’s minds, Honor has declined its smartphone in sparkling colors: Frost Crystal, Honor Code, Monogramme, Emerald Green and Midnight Black.
Available in France from November 4 on Honor 50 is displayed at 300 € in its configuration 6 / 128 Go and to 599 € in its configuration 8 / 250 Go . An offer of pre-order launched as of 27 October until November 3 will benefit from 100 € immediate discount as well as a free pair of headphones Honor Earbuds 2.
