Throughout 2012 Guttridge will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. First founded by Dr David Guttridge in 1962 to manufacture and operate mobile animal feed mills, the company grew rapidly throughout the 1960’s and began to focus more on bulk materials handling equipment throughout the 1970’s.
Spalding, United Kingdom – Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s Guttridge became an established and respected supplier of bulk material handling machinery to the animal feeds, pet foods and cereals industries. The late 1980’s also saw Guttridge develop a new specialist range of stainless steel machinery for handling foods, chemicals and pharmaceutical products. Based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, the company is still family owned by company Chairman Peter Guttridge.
Guttridge machinery has now been developed further to operate in more arduous conditions, handling many different kinds of chemicals and minerals. The centreless screw is the most recent development to the Guttridge range of conveyors, elevators, feeders, dischargers and bulk bag systems. The centreless screw will efficiently handle adhesive, highly abrasive or very “sluggish” materials including sludge, waste water, pulp materials, biomass and ash.
