Wuerzburg/Nürnberg, Germany – BulkSolids India 2011 will have an expanded exhibition and conference with an additional new technical focus on chemical processing. Interested speakers can submit abstracts until November 15, 2010.
The first BulkSolids India held in March 2010 was a big success. Participation of around 800 delegates confirmed the great importance of such a platform in India which is unique to the Indian market. Next year, from 6–8 April 2011, the Nehru Centre in Mumbai, India, is the meeting-place for the processing sector for the second time. BulkSolids India 2011, the International Conference & Exhibition on Storing, Handling and Transporting Bulk Solids and Powders, will provide much needed information on the latest products and services related to bulk materials storage and handling. The organizers – Vogel Business Media and NürnbergMesse – offer a larger exhibition area in 2011 and an extensive information and dialogue platform for experts from industry and science as part of the conference programme with its extended range of topics. The Call for Papers is still open until 15 th November and interested speakers can submit their abstracts.
The second edition of the BulkSolids India has been expanded both in its format and the technical contents. It will be a three day event with a much larger exhibition area and new topics from chemical processing added to the English-language conference sessions. While all the topics from the previous event have been retained, several new topics have been added to make the conference broad based. The significant growth witnessed in the food and pharmaceuticals makes these sectors an important segment of the processing industry. Two sessions have been planned for solids handling and processing in these sectors. Chemical Processing Technologies for Powder and Bulk Material is another important addition to the technical contents of the conference.
Management and utilisation of fly ash continues to be a high priority for the power sector in India. This necessitates long distance transportation of fly ash using the rail network. The technical contents of the BulkSolids India 2011 will be further enriched with 3-hours exhaustive workshops on specific topics: Explosion Protection, Pneumatic Conveying and Silo Design. In addition, special slots are being planned for the exhibitor’s forum where delegates can get detailed information about the industrial products for various applications.
“I am sure these additions will provide further impetus to make this event technically satisfying”, says Vijay K. Agarwal, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India and chairman of BulkSolids India 2011. He is convinced that: “BulkSolids India 2011 will act as a catalyst to bring the technical experts both from the industry and the academia together for a meaningful interaction. Close interaction between the industry and the academia will help the researchers to share knowledge and get information on practical applications of the subject.”
More information about the Call for Papers (Deadline: 15.11.2010) is also available at www.bulksolidsindia.com.
The conference board of BulkSolids India 2011 is again highly international and renowned. Next to the Chairman Dr. V.K. Agarwal, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, the board consists of: Prof. Dr. Mark Jones, The University of Newcastle, Australia; Dr. David Mills, Independent Pneumatic Consultant, UK; Dr. Shantanu Roy, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India; B. N. Sambashivan, Tata Consulting Engineers, India; Dipankar Sarkar, Nally Bharat Engineering Co. Ltd, India and Dr. Vivek V. Ranade, NCL Pune, and Tridiagonal, Solutions Pvt. Ltd., India. Following the Call for Papers, the conference board under the leadership of Vijay K. Agarwal and Vogel Business Media, will put together the final programme for the conference at BulkSolids India. The additional exhibition with key players – such as Hosokawa, Allgaier, Rembe, R+B Filter, McNally, NordDrive Systems – from the Indian and international market presents an exceptionally strong line-up again.
The visitor registration facility will be available online in December 2010. Interested visitors can register conveniently and easily at any time at www.bulksolidsindia.com/registration.htm.
Exhibitors at POWTECH, the leading European exhibition for mechanical processing technologies and the flagship of the POWDER & BULK NETWORK, can now exhibit at BulkSolids India at special terms for the first time. Exhibiting companies receive special services and support in the POWTECH pavilion.
BulkSolids India is part of the POWDER & BULK NETWORK, a successful association of events in this field. It is based on POWTECH, the International Trade Fair for Mechanical Processing Technologies and Instrumentation in Nuremberg, Germany, which is the established leading exhibition on related topics. Together with IPB in Shanghai, China, and BulkSolids Europe and the World Congress on Particle Technology (WCPT) the NETWORK spans over the whole world and covers all the key world markets concerned.
