FLSmidth has signed an agreement to acquire the privately owned company Process Engineering Resources (Peri), a Salt Lake City based corporation which is active within the mining and minerals industries. The company develops, manufactures, and installs on-line slurry analysis systems for the mining and minerals industries.
Valby, Denmark – Peri was founded in 1996. The company will be part of the business unit Automation at FLSmidth’s premises in Salt Lake City. Peri develops, manufactures, and installs on-line slurry analysis systems with over 45 installations. The customer base comprises mining and minerals industries.
Peri has for many years invested in the development and design of on-line slurry XRF analysis systems, and with last year's market break-through these systems are now well accepted by the industry. The activities are mainly handled out of their office in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
The business unit Automation of FLSmidth has been active in the industry with Advanced Process Control solutions and Peri is an important strategic step to further extend FLSmidth's capabilities within mining and minerals, especially in the non-ferrous segment.
