Danfoss Opens New Filter–Dryer Production

Danfoss has inaugurated its new filter-drier factory in Chennai. The factory comprises an area spanning 10000 sq ft and is considered to be the largest filter drier facility in the country. The facility plays an important role in Danfoss' Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Controls business, and will manufacture filter-driers for Refrigeration and Air-conditioning applications, speakers explained.

Chennai/India – Danfoss has invested more than 17 Crores in the facility, creating 60 new jobs. The facility is the first of its kind in the country with a capacity of approximately 2 Million pieces per year, which is a significant increase of Danfoss' global capacity. This facility will operate as an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) and products produced here will be of highest quality standards for Indian and global markets.

"India is a very important market for Danfoss and the opening of this new factory reinforces our commitment to our customers and distributors here and in the Asia Pacific region. This move is also in keeping with Danfoss' objective of strengthening its manufacturing base in the country. This facility would specifically help Indian customers with better lead time, reduction in transportation costs and dependence on fluctuating currency," said Henrik Schurmann, Vice President of Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls in India.
