Votorantim Cimentos, a major cement company in Brazil, awarded Loesche the complete supply of another three cement raw material mills to be installed in the huge cement plant expansion plan which will be implemented during the next few years. The expansion program is needed to take care of the additional cement demand generated by the fact that the next soccer championship as well as the next Olympic Games are being held in Brazil, as well as to strengthen Votorantim’s maket position.

The new contract includes a raw mill of type LM 45.4 with a capacity 264 tonnes per hour to be installed in a new clinker production line of 3000 tonnes per day in Bahia state, north eastern Brazil. Two further raw mills of type LM 53.6, each for a capacity of 440 tonnes per hour, will be working respectively in a new clinker line of 5000 tonnes per day in Goias state, near the capital and also for a new 5000 tonnes per day kiln line in the state of Parana, in the southern part of Brazil. The raw mills will work with the kiln lines awarded on July 1, 2010 to the Danish company FLSmidth.

The LM 53.6 will be the first 6 roller cement raw material mill in South America. Apart from these new mill orders Loesche is presently executing the manufacture of another two LM 45.4 raw mills for two additional 3000 tonnes per day kiln lines as well as a raw mill type LM 56.4 for a 4300 tonnes per day kiln line for the Votorantim group. These three mills will be delivered in 2010 and the first half of 2011..
