MECO Shaft Seals div. of Woodex Bearing Co Inc

Woodex Bearing Company manufactures MECO custom-engineered shaft seals for rotating process machinery and standard-sized shaft seals for screw conveyors. Both accept a high degree of shaft run-out, so provide an effective alternative to packing glands where they are not working.

Because most process machinery shafts are not standardized, MECO has developed custom shaft seals for slow-turning bulk processing equipment, including mixers, blenders, conveyors, dryers, bucket elevators, grinders and agitators.

MECO engineers specify the design and construction materials for each seal according to precise shaft diameter, speed, clearance, process chemistry, temperature, pressure variations and thermal growth of the shaft.  Seals are custom-manufactured. A wide range of shaft diameters can be retrofitted.

MECO also offers its "HB" model screw conveyor seal for standard-sized CEMA and metric shafts. HB seals are designed to perform in 90 of screw conveyor applications.
