For handling of dry bulk solids in pneumatic conveying systems with vacuum or positive pressures, Vortex have designed a four-way wye line diverter offering in-line maintenance.
The Quantum Series 4-Way Wye Line Diverter, available in 2” to 6” (50 mm to 150 mm) pipe or tube, can direct dry bulk material from one source to four destinations, or converge from four sources to one destination. Vortex utilises precision laser cutting and bending technology to manufacture this diverter valve, which, according to the manufacturer, provides a number of advantages over traditional flapper and rotating tunnel style diverters and eliminates trouble spots inherent in these diverters. The wye line diverter provides good sealing, low installation weight and fast in-line maintenance. Adapting the diverter to meet system requirements is possible due to a large selection of actuators, position indication switches, flanges, and tube stubs. The Quantum Series also offers a wide variety of modifications to accommodate high or low temperatures, corrosive, humid, and hazardous environments.
