Eriez displayed new Separation Technologies at Hillhead 2014

Eriez Magnetics Europe presented their latest separation technologies, including the brand new CPRE suspended permanent magnet, at Hillhead 2014. This rare earth overband magnet provides an alternative solution for the mobile market. It is 60% lighter than Eriez’s standard CP model but still provides the same high separation performance in terms of strength and reject rate, despite its reduced weight, the company says.

Eriez Magnetics Europe's new CPRE suspended permanent magnet provides an alternative solution for the mobile market.

Also on display for the first time at Hillhead was Eriez’s SE725 R800 SC2 self-cleaning suspended electromagnet. The company’s range of electromagnets benefit from more than 70 years’ experience in separation technology and are said to provide the ultimate in magnetic separation. Suspended electromagnets are particularly suitable for materials conveyed in heavy burden depths.

In addition to the new CPRE magnet and electromagnet, Eriez exhibited their popular CP (centre pole) and TP (twin pole) models, which can be selected for specific applications. Completing the range of equipment on the stand, Eriez also demonstrated one of their industrial metal detectors – the Metalarm MA3500 bridge coil metal detector featuring a bag dropper and Spymet metal locator. The MA3500 is part of the firm’s wide range of established industrial metal detectors that provide protection to expensive machinery.
