Cemex announced USD 300 million Investment in the Philippines

Cemex's USD 300 million investment in the Philippines will include a 1.5-million-tonne integrated cement-production line.
Cement Plant Project
On May 14, 2015, Cemex announced that it is undertaking a new USD 300 million investment in the Philippines. The new investment will include the construction of a new 1.5-million-tonne, integrated cement-production line at Cemex's Solid Plant in Luzon. This will double the capacity of the Solid plant and will represent a 25% increase in the company’s cement capacity in the Philippines.

Ensuring Access to the Coal

A coal mine in East Kalimantan (Indonesia) runs a fleet of eight Volvo excavators and 65 articulated haulers for the remove of overburden and some special tasks like fuel and water delivery. To keep this equipment productive, the Indonesian Volvo rep. has a special team onsite, which is supported by Volvo’s equipment tracking software.

Elenilto to develop Phosphate Mining and Fertilisers Plant Project

The project is located near Lome, Togo’s capital, and is probably the largest phosphate deposit south of the Sahara, with estimated resources exceeding 2 billion tonnes of phosphate and will generate sales of over USD 28 billion.

The government of Togo has awarded an international tender to develop a USD 1.4 billion phosphate mining and fertilizers plant project in Togo to a consortium led by Elenilto, a global oil and gas and minerals company. The project has estimated resources exceeding 2 billion tonnes of phosphate and is expected to generate sales of over USD 28 billion.

BMT Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of BMT Group has completed its latest project with state-owned port operator, Indonesian Port Corporation II. BMT has delivered a pre-feasibility study for a possible Greenfield site in the region of Kijing in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Metso enhances Assembly Capacity of Lokotrack Mobile Crushing Plants

In the future, motors will also be assembled next to the new Speedline 2 so that all components to be installed in Lokotrack equipment will be in the same hall.
Mobile Crushing Plants
The capacity of Metso's Tampere factories will be increased and occupational safety improved with the new production line for Lokotrack mobile crushing plants. The investment of approx. EUR 1 million will significantly shorten the delivery times of equipment models put into line assembly production. The construction work for the new line will already start during the summer, and the first new Lokotrack equipment would come out of the line in Q1 2018.
